Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,​

Welcome to Mrs. Reed's English I class!  I am looking forward to working with you this semester so that everyone can have a successful ​year.

Course Description:

This course is required for graduation from LHS, and the student must earn a 70% final grade in order to earn the full credit and move on to English II.. It is the first step in an integrated sequence of instruction in the language arts state standards. Thematic units introduce students to the foundational process, skills, and knowledge necessary to meet district and state graduation requirements in language arts. A variety of short selections, including literary, poetic, narrative, expressive-descriptive, and informative-expository, will be analyzed. The research process and the formal essay will be introduced. 

New Website

Our classroom websites can now be accessed through Synergy ((ParentVue and Student Vue). All my info is now there. 

Students can also access notes, handouts, assignments, etc. by accessing their Student Email & Office 365; using the Teams app, students can find the Class Notebook and Assignments for their class.
